Privacy-Policy
Privacy Policy & Terms of use
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from users of our mobile applications and services, how we use and process that information, and the choices available to you regarding certain types of data processing.
1. Information About the Data Controller
The entity responsible for the operation of our websites, mobile applications, and services is identified below. This Privacy Policy applies equally and consistently to all websites, mobile applications, and services referenced above.
2. What Is Personal Information?
Personal information refers to any data relating to the personal, economic, or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual.
3.How Do We Process Personal Information?
Our applications and websites do not share personal information with third parties. If you contact us by email, we collect your email address solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and providing support related to our applications. We do not use this information for any other purpose.
We may collect and process anonymous and aggregated usage data for traffic analysis and service improvement. This data consists primarily of technical and non-identifiable information, which helps us adapt efficiently to changes in hardware, operating systems, and software environments.
4.How Personal Information Is Used in Our Mobile Applications (“Apps”)
4.1 Location Data During the Use of Apps
Our mobile applications may use location-based services, such as the Global Positioning System (“GPS”), to provide weather information relevant to your current location, either automatically or upon your request. Location-based features are disabled by default unless otherwise specified. You may enable or disable these features at any time through the settings of your mobile device. Depending on your device and operating system, you will be asked before or after installation whether you wish to activate location services. We collect location data only if you explicitly enable such services.
In addition, the Apps may determine your approximate location based on your IP address. These requests are fully anonymized. Server access logs are disabled, and your IP address is not stored, logged, or shared. Location information derived from IP addresses is processed solely on your device and is used only to determine the appropriate city to display.
Location data is processed locally on your device to generate a GEOID, which corresponds to the weather station closest to your current location. This information is used exclusively to deliver accurate and relevant weather forecasts.
All data requests transmitted between the Apps and our servers are protected using end-to-end encryption.
Our weather Apps can also be used without enabling any form of location services. In such cases, users may manually select a location. The primary purpose of our weather Apps is to provide real-time and forecasted weather information for selected locations, helping users plan activities and make informed decisions based on current and future weather conditions.
Background Location Access
In certain cases, the Apps may request background location permission to support core functionality, including:
Providing continuous and accurate real-time weather updates based on your current location.
Automatically updating weather information when you are traveling, without requiring manual location changes.
Enhancing the delivery of personalized and location-relevant weather forecasts.
Background location access is used strictly to improve the functionality and user experience of the Apps and can be managed or disabled at any time through your device settings.
4.2 Collection of Personal Information During the Use of the Apps
We do not collect, store, or process any personal information from users during the use of our Apps.
4.3 Use of Google Analytics and Google Firebase
We use Google Analytics and/or Google Firebase solely for statistical and performance analysis of our Apps. These services help us understand aggregated usage data, such as the number of users, general usage patterns, and broad geographic trends. Only standard analytics features are enabled, and no Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) is collected, tracked, or processed.
4.4 Use of Advertising Identifiers
Our Apps may use advertising identifiers, which are unique, user-resettable identifiers designed for advertising and analytics purposes. Common examples include the Android Advertising ID (AAID) and Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
Users may disable, limit, or reset advertising identifiers at any time through their device’s privacy settings. Where required by applicable law or platform policies, the Apps will request user consent before accessing or using advertising identifiers.
4.5 Use of Firebase Crashlytics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor application performance and identify technical issues. Crashlytics collects anonymized diagnostic data, including anonymized IP addresses, which cannot be used to identify individual users.
This information enables us to analyze crashes and system failures in real time and supports the ongoing maintenance, stability, and improvement of the Apps. Additional information about Firebase Crashlytics is available in Google’s Firebase documentation and terms.
5. Advertisements on the Sites and Apps; Links to Third-Party Websites
Our websites and Apps may contain third-party advertisements and links to external websites or applications that are not operated or controlled by us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such third-party websites or applications.
If you choose to access any third-party website or application through links provided on our Sites or Apps, please be aware that the operators of those platforms may collect personal or other information from you. Such data collection and use are governed by the respective third party’s privacy policy, which may differ from ours. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access.
6. Accessing, Correcting, Deleting, Restricting, or Withdrawing Consent for Personal Information
Upon request, and subject to applicable legal limitations, we will provide you with access to any personal information we hold about you.
We will respond to requests for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or withdrawal of consent within a reasonable timeframe and will fulfill such requests in the manner requested where it is reasonable and practicable to do so.
If we are unable to comply with a request to access or amend personal information, we will inform you of our decision. Where appropriate, we will also provide the reasons for the refusal and details of any available mechanisms for submitting a complaint or seeking further review.
